The Observatory for Children and Adolescents – OCA was developed by INESC from 2013 to 2017, in partnership with the City Collective and the “Movimento Nossa Brasília”, and with the support of the C&A Institute and the European Union. During this period, it benefited dozens of young people and was recognized as social technology by the Banco do Brasil Foundation.
The purpose of the project was to build an observatory of the City of Brasília, which is made up of children and adolescents living in the city, aiming at monitoring the public budget and guaranteeing the rights provided for in the Child and Adolescent Statute.
One of the instruments used was the agency Voz da Quebrada, through which the children and adolescents of OCA did research and produced bulletins, aside from promoting mobilization activities.
