Action: Onda

Onda – The Youths in Motion for Rights Project is an initiative of INESC that aims to introduce the theme of human rights and public budget in the public schools of the Federal District, through educational and cultural actions.

To accomplish this, courses are offered on conflict mediation, art and dance classes, poetry workshops, music festivals, talk wheels, among other activities, always aiming to strengthen young people’s ability to act in the conquest of their rights and in the monitoring of public policies aimed at them.

Vozes da Cidadania – Voices of Citizenship – is an action within the Onda project carried out within Internment Units, where the same skills are developed, with more specific reflections on socio-educational measures.

Some of the highlights of the project are the production of the magazine “Descolad@s,” with articles written by adolescents themselves, and the publication of poetry books also written by young people.
